MicroDoc at JavaOne 2025 and the Java Community Process

Celebrating 30 Years of Java and Shaping Its Future
From March 18–20, 2025, MicroDoc participated in the annual JavaOne conference in Redwood Shores, CA, a premier event that has brought together Java developers worldwide since 1996. This year’s conference was especially momentous as the Java community celebrated 30 years of the platform’s innovation and evolution, highlighted by the release day of Java 24.
Java 24 introduces significant language enhancements, new features like Stream Gatherers, Structured Concurrency and Scoped Values. Additionally, the conference spotlighted groundbreaking projects embracing AI, alongside advancements in Post-Quantum Cryptography to future-proof Java’s security.
MicroDoc’s involvement goes beyond attending events. As a member of the Java Community Process (JCP) Executive Committee, MicroDoc plays an active role in guiding the evolution of Java technology. The Executive Committee oversees the approval of Java Specification Requests (JSRs), reconciles technical challenges, and ensures the ongoing stability and progress of the Java platform.
Participating in both the conference and JCP activities underscores MicroDoc’s commitment to advancing Java and contributing to the broader developer community.
